MY RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN
NEED HELP WRITING OR IMPROVING YOUR RISK MANAGEMENT POLICIES?
A growing number of funders, insurers, and umbrella organizations are asking for written risk management plans.
Although virtually every nonprofit has some risk management policies or activities in place, many find it challenging to organize these into a document that reflects their commitment to risk management.
We have purchased the Canadian rights to this online tool created by the American organization www.nonprofitrisk.org. There is simply no other tool like it in the world.
It includes hundreds of choices for risk management wording over all of the key topics. It is so simple to use. You pick a topic and click through the options to choose the policy wording that best fits you or pull in some of your own current policy wording.
You can complete one topic at a time or have several people work on different topics at the same time. It will also generate a Word document that you can then use any way you wish.

The fee to purchase a license is $139 Canadian. In terms of time saved, this will be truly dramatic. And we are here to provide customer service.
To purchase a license:
Please email our Centre's manager, David Hartley, at dhartley@imaginecanada.ca. We will figure out a time to talk on the phone and within 10 minutes your license will be set up and you will know how to use the site. We will ask for your credit card over the phone, process your payment, and send you a receipt from Imagine Canada.
There are never any future charges and your license is a lifetime license. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
What if you are not a nonprofit (e.g., consultant, insurance broker, etc)? The license cost is $280 Cdn (one-time fee).
What if you have registered already but cannot log on to the site?
#1 - Make sure you are at CANADIAN version of website: www.myriskmanagementplan.org/canada
With hundreds of Canadian organizations now using the site, our biggest challenge has been to remind users to go to the Canadian (not U.S.) site. Easy mistake to make: the only difference is the /canada at the end of the address.
#2 - If you forgot your password, just type any word for your password and click enter. The option will appear to email your password to you.
