WHO ARE WE?
A nonprofit training centre created to help other Canadian nonprofits and charities manage their daily risk with confidence. We are a project of a well-respected national charity, Imagine Canada. Our funder is the Government of Ontario - Ministry of Citizenship & Immigration.
Since October 2007 we have held over 100 in-person training events and over 40 live online training events, reaching over 4,500 Canadian leaders. We have also assisted over 2,000 leaders with specific risk management issues. Our growing website resources are being used by thousands of leaders monthly. Our "My Risk Management Plan" online product (our only product) has been purchased by over 300 organizations to date, with another online product to be released in late 2010.
We are not an insurance company or brokerage. We do not sell insurance. However we can definitely help you with insurance resources. More detail below ...
OUR SERVICES:
- General Workshops for Nonprofits. We have held workshops in 37 Ontario towns/cities so far. By the end of 2010 we'll have held workshops in 8 provinces and wonderful Yellowknife, NWT. We'd like to come to your town or organization, if you'd like to host. Here are the 5 workshops we have available. If you'd like to be a host, please e-mail us
- Webinar Training. You can participate in our online training sessions from anywhere with a telephone and Internet connection. Topics and content are regularly updated, so visit our site for updates.
- Customized Workshops for Your Organization. We work with local, provincial and national nonprofit organizations to develop and deliver customized workshops. Please e-mail David Hartley for more information.
- Online Library. Search our collection of more than 200 resources on risk management and insurance.
- Free Assistance. If you work or volunteer for a public-serving (as compared to a member-only serving) nonprofit organization and have a question about insurance or risk management, please e-mail David Hartley. Pleases note that, as we hold approximately 50 events a year and several projects at once, it may take 6 minutes or 6 weeks to respond.
